I have been studying TSI study guides to improve my skills in math. THIS BOOK HELPED SO MUCH. This book explains each subject on the test in a detailed but concise way that makes it enjoyable to read. They took the time to put key info in bold letters which helped me when I wanted to reread something for a reference point.The highlights of this book are most definitely the large, detailed diagrams in the math sections, and the detailed explanations in the reading sections.The diagrams are VERY DETAILED. (pic inserted) That was so helpful for me especially when it came to the Geometry and Measurement, and the Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability sections.In the reading sections, I really appreciate the fact that they actually put questions in the discussion of the presented text for the reader. They present key questions the reader can ask that can help the reader to try to break down that particular text.
When I get a review book, I always want something to help me not only give me review test, but provide me explanations to answers for each question. This allows me to not only understand what I may have gotten wrong, but to go back and study harder in that section. The APEX Test Prep guide provides just that in helping bread down each section of the review. What I also like about this review book is how thick the pages are. My highlighting does not go through the pages. That is a major plus when I am studying.
