This book is used in Ontario at Ontario Colleges for Beginning Medical Transcription. It is critical to have the Audio CD in order to participate in the course. Because it was not bundled with The Student Edition Audio Transcription Exercises on CD to Accompany Hillcrest Medical Center Beginning Medical Transcription 7th Edition, there were 35 students SCRAMBLING with a teacher to get the course going without delay. Amazon should work with the publisher to have this CD included with the textbook. The directors at several Ontario Colleges would likely appreciate this as well as they were called to work with students individually to locate the audio CD for them.
I could not be more happy with this purchase. What would have cost me almost $400 if bought new, I spent less than $40 by buying this book and the audio disk separately. The book is like new and the CD intact. Thank You!
Easy to understand
I used this last fall semester for a medical transcription course and I found the terms in the book to be quite technical at times. It was kind of difficult to understand some of the speakers as I was transcribing but after listening more than once, you grasp it.
